Commercial LPG Prices Rise Sharply, But Households Get Relief

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹993. The new price in Delhi is now ₹3,071.5. This sharp rise will mainly affect restaurants, hotels, and small food businesses that depend on commercial gas.

The increase is linked to rising global energy prices. Because commercial LPG rates follow international trends more closely, they change more often. As a result, many businesses may see higher costs and could raise their prices.

However, there is relief for households. IOC has confirmed that domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged. This means families will not face any increase in kitchen expenses for now.

The company also said petrol and diesel prices have not changed. Oil companies are currently managing the extra cost instead of passing it on to consumers. This helps control inflation and keeps daily expenses stable.

Experts say that while households are protected for now, the impact may still be indirect. Higher business costs could lead to slightly higher food prices in the future.

Overall, this decision gives relief to households but puts pressure on businesses. Future price changes will depend on global oil trends.
